What you should know about NGATI TOA SCHOOL
As a parent trustee, and because of my work experience, I look to focus on what a good education should look like in our achievement results. I love occupied at Ag ti Goa School and appreciate the environment, the outstanding teaching staff and the all round family feel. I love our school and community and am committed to moving our school forward successfully into the future. I only ever wanted to be a teacher, and over the years have deepened my knowledge of teaching and learning through various roles in schools, scrutinize to Masters level, teacher education and professional learning of teachers contracts.
I really enjoy meeting new children and their families as they start at Ag ti Goa. Earlier teaching primary school students, I worked for many years in mature education in the areas of special needs, second chance and second language learning. I love the warm, friendly, family feel that Ag ti Goa has and feel privileged to be a piece of the school. We are currently occupied on developing our own Ag ti Goa School curriculum. I have five adult children and eight mokos, three of whom attend Ag ti Goa school currently.
As well as being involved in youth work and running two businesses, I have been a part-time teacher and reliever at Ag ti Goa school for the end few years and at other schools in Titahi Bay and Porirua. From all of this, I have arrive to trust strongly that what is really urgent for learning to happen, is the quality of the relationships we construct with one another and the focus we have on our children, scholarly them healthy and providing the opportunities for them to prosper a love of, and curiosity for, learning. Thank you to all those parents and family that came to promote the students. In our school, the children all know one another and the teachers know all the children.
The children are safe in this environment to play, ride their bikes and scooters, swim in our pool and enjoy the incredible space we have. I appreciate supporting the school in any way I can to make the best opportunities available to our children. I am a local Titahi Bay Porirua resident and I believe every kid in our community deserves the correct to quality education, and with potent and suited leadership at governance and management level this will be achieved. I came to Ag ti Goa School as a student teacher and was utterly taken with the warmth and welcome of this school community.
I attended Ag ti Goa school as a primary student with my brother and sisters back when there was a kindergarten here which was situated in Room 1. Ag ti Goa School is very proud to calm have a school pool operating which means we can bear our children with water safety and swimming programmed. I have a Bachelors degree in Education and am looking forward to the opportunity of continued learning with staff, students and families at Ag ti Goa School. Art is my passion and I enjoy seeing children create attractive pieces of labor for all to enjoy. It’s all about the people, the environment and the community that we live in and how we contribute.
I have been associated with Ag ti Goa School for many years as a parent, Board of Trustees member and now the caretaker. Ag ti Goa really was, and tranquil is, the coolest trivial school in the Bay!
